Teacher first wrote the name of subject as well as date on blackboard and started to take the lessons by touching the affective domain of the children. Teacher collected the examples by asking question to students.The initial black board work, such as strength of the class was not in written in the blackboard.
At beginning onwards the class management was out of control. In the initial time, movement of the teacher was restricted to only the front bench area. Teacher's blackboard skill was also poor. She used a font which may not be identified by the students. Teacher asked questions like 'how heat is transfer from furnacerl to our body' and so on. Students replied in a good manner.
Then teacher explain the the concept of radiation. She demonstred the energy transfer in the mechanism of radiation with the help of students. She explained the concept but the clarity of the concept was very poor. Teacher should explain the concept two or three times to reach it in the mind of children.
Students will not get the concept by simply hearing it once.
Also while teaching the concept of radiation teacher should draw the diagram of earth, sun and the area between earth and sun and should mark atmosphere as well as vaccum in the blackboard. Then teacher should explain about radiation with the help of the diagram.
After explanation teacher asked examples of radiation to the students. Students responded in an effective manner. But the teacher failed to write the examples collected from students on blackboard. Teacher should write the examples provided by students on blackboard because if she does so, other students can copy it to the notebook.
Also, while explaining the concept of radiation teacher should make clear the concepts of medium and vaccum.
Then teacher performed another group activity. Teacher made two groups so fastly. Teacher used less time to make group so the time management was good. After making groups, teacher performed a quiz competition that was a very good thing because students felt enthusiastic while performing the quiz. While performing quiz teacher should make three columns having heading conduction, convection and radiation and write the answers of the quiz in the respective columns.
Teacher didn't use black blackboard. That should be avoided becouse children get concept clearly if and only if the teacher uses blackboard so wisely.
after that teacher provided a home assignment to the students, that was also good.
In the back bench children's ask too many questions but teacher did not listen to that.
A good teacher should listen to the all questions raised by students and answer it in a proper manner.
Then teacher showed a chart which contain the image of a thermal flask.
Showing chart in this section was excellent option but chart work was poorly done. The heading and labelling work done in a same colour and letters was not large enough to treat up to the last bench students.
The explanation of thermal flask was not satisfactory.
Blackboard summary was there and teacher consolidated the class in a good manner
